Welcome to "Civil Strategies dot Net"
Civil Strategies offers diversified experience in public and non-profit management, international education and cultural projects, along with research, training and civic work in public-private partnerships, evaluation and fundraising. These are must-have process-tools in government, civil society, and the for-profit sector for fostering constructive cross-sector engagement and shaping sustainable, citizen-centered programs. I have developed and applied them in the voluntary sector and peacebuildiing, to foster collaborative, rather than combative, civil society. As founder and principal consultant of Civil Strategies Dot Net, five of the many projects I have designed, implemented, or coodinated are: 1) Cross-Sector Stakeholder Engagement through Transnational, Trans-sectarian Partnership ©2018; 2) cross-national university linkages in environmental studies, international business, and other academic disciplines; 3) “Gauging the Quality of Public-Private Partnership Programs involving U.S.-based Diasporas"; 4) Public Diplomacy Council Fall Forum; 5) "Amplifying Women's Leadership across the Middle East." My latest publication -- Many Voices, Many Hands: Widening Participatory Dialogue to Improve Diplomacy’s Impact -- includes an evaluation of the Montgomery County, MD Sister City partnership with Morazán, El Salvador, and is the focus of a webinar. Also in Montgomery County, I volunteer with the Office of Community Partnerships’ Middle Eastern American Advisory Group as the current chair (some of us at the 2018 World of Montgomery event, pictured below).
The February 5, 2016 "welcome" blog describes a civil strategy from the pages of ancient public diplomacy and peacebuilding (click above to see the cylindrical image). Here's to working with you to build others! More about my experience, and how my passion for research and collaboration can serve your organization, are here.
